Valhalla Collection

David Oscarson
My Zimbio
Top Stories The man behind the the writing instrument. David Oscarson is one of the righteous man I've met. By using only the finest materials and production techniques, Oscarson has taken the writing pen from a merely functional instrument of everyday use to the latest must-have luxury item. Boasting exceptional detail, and brilliant colors, each limited edition pen is extremely labor-intensive to produce. The pens are hand-crafted from solid Sterling Silver, which gives them a distinctive weight and luster. Each David Oscarson pen passes through multiple stages of precision engraving, creating a distinctive ornamental pattern known as Guilloché. Oscarson looks to numerous sources for his design inspiration. In additional to his faith, which fueled both his popular Harvest and Celestial collections, Oscarson has relied heavily on his family and heritage for ideas for many of his pieces. His latest offering, a three-piece collection named Valhalla, attributes its Viking-inspired designs – complete with long ship and runestone detail – to the designer’s Scandinavian roots.
a starting price of $4,500 for a fountain pen, Oscarson admits his creations are an investment, but because he uses only the finest materials and techniques, he considers each one to be an heirloom quality piece worthy of being handed down from generation to generation.

Changing the Face of Time

Andreas von Zadora-Gerlof
A great man and one of the greatest gemstone artists of his time, also known as “America’s Faberge”, Andreas von Zadora-Gerlof is the creator of some of the most exquisite works of art existing today. As a child growing up in the Canadian Wilds of the Queen Charlotte Islands, he began carving totem poles with the Haida Indians at the age of twelve after a hunting accident left his dominant arm paralyzed. Gordon Cross, the great Haida Indian artist, personally tutored him in the art of metal and gold engraving. This, coupled with his love of nature and great interest in Indian mysticism and spirituality, inspired him to pursue his talent for gem sculpting and metallurgy as a full time profession. After studying at Idar Oberstein, Germany, Andreas von Zadora assembled a workshop of talented craftsmen and established himself in California. It was only when he subsequently began to repair damaged or broken Faberge pieces that some of the world’s most well known collectors encouraged him to relocate to New York. Today his Clients include some of the worlds most discerning art connoisseurs and collectors who recognize and appreciate his unique talent and who covet his creations. The most recent addition to his repertoire is Zadora Timepieces, a bespoke timepiece company. Each watch features a unique cylindrical dial upon which is mounted a breathtakingly beautiful embellishment of your personal choice. He works together with his wife Monica, and they currently reside in British Columbia, Geneva and London. Together they envision, design, and create outstanding objets d’art, jewellery and watches of unparalleled beauty, imagination and sophistication. One of the greatest mand I've ever met. Kudos to you Andreas!

Lamborghini Reventon 2008

World's most expensive and most extravagant automotive statement this year!

$1.45 million a piece and only 20 of those made for their super-rich customers! An example of rare, extreme mobile art. Clearly a Lamborghini, but nothing quite like it. A super car without equals: the Lamborghini Reventón is a road vehicle with an extreme specification and, at the same time, a limited edition masterpiece – a coherent style, angular with sharp lines, inspired by the very latest aeronautics.

The Lamborghini Reventón has been entirely designed in Sant’Agata Bolognese, the original birthplace of the Lamborghini and the native home of every super car born under the sign of the bull. The design drawn up in Lamborghini’s Centro Stile (Style Centre) is fine-tuned in close collaboration with the Lamborghini Research and Development Department. Thus, the Reventón is not only “haute couture” but it also stands out for its elevated dynamism whilst being entirely suitable for every day use.

Bling H2O Bottle Water with Crystals

Rodeo Drive Spring Water By Way of Tennessee

Bling H2O crystal-encrusted bottled water, of Beverly Hills, is the inspiration of Kevin G. Boyd, a Hollywood writer-producer. Initially introduced to hand-selected athletes and actors, (In Hollywood it seemed as if people flaunted their bottled water like it was part of their presentation) Bling H2O is now excitedly expanding it’s availability. The product is strategically positioned to target the expanding super-luxury consumer market. It comes in limited-edition, frosted, corked, 750ml bottles hand-decorated with Swarovski crystals.

Calling itself “the Cristal of bottled water,” making “an announcement like a Rolls Royce Phantom,” Bling H2O is pop culture in a bottle. At $38.00 a bottle and sprinkled with rhinestones, it is not for everyone (the bottles are recyclable, the manufacturer hastens to assure, and anybody we know would keep refilling the Bling bottles from gallons of supermarket spring water).

Rich, Sinful, Decadent - Strawberries Arnaud

Except that this dessert is garnished with a one-of-a-kind 4.7-carat pink diamond ring, once belonging to the famous English financier Sir Ernest Cassel. It’s accompanied by white-gloved waiters pouring rare port from a $24,850 Charles X crystal cave liqueur set.

To Have and To Hold

Handcrafted Goods is the ultimate luxury for the 21st Century. Each edge accurate down to the millimeter. Every seam in the right spot.
Demand for handmade products is giving rise to regular clusters of handicraft around the world. From treasures for the wrist to the ultimate forever suit, individuality has became the utmost luxury. Luxury no longer means just owning more. In every country and industry around the world, buyers now seek the feeling of having something completely individual to hold in their hands, to eat or otherwise consume: in a word, handmade goods.
Buyers enjoy the value of eternity. And maybe they also think they are buying a clear conscience. Manufacturing under questionable labor conditions, employing cheap raw materials—all this is worlds away from the philosophy of producing quality goods by hand.

A perfect suit, a unique timepiece: Such luxury goods harbor tradition, a lengthy apprenticeship and exclusivity. The idea of timelessness and centuries of tradition strikes a counterpoint in a world shaped by the digital, global, nanotechnological and rational.
